Who Am I?
I am a 36-year-old single mother of twins under 10, divorced, and a survivor of domestic violence. It was a relationship of extreme control that negated timely care. I am now looking for a Living Kidney Donor. In October 2022, I was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy. My Kidneys are at 12% function. I have been managing my disease but am in need of a kidney transplant. Alone in this country with my sons, a transplant will prolong my life, and give me more time with them. Their abusive father fled the United States and I fear for their care and safety should something happen to me.
My Diagnosis:
CKD - Stage 5, due to IGA Nephropathy.
