Who Am I?

I am Jordan Flowers. I am 24 years old, and I am one of the founders of the Amazon Labor Union, which was created to help amazon employees protect and improve their jobs. I am passionate about employees not only having a productive experience at work, but also having a positive one too! Being a founder of an organization that is involved in such meaningful work has been life changing and I look forward to the years ahead of being able to support individuals in such a valuable and worthwhile manner. While I am so much more than my diagnosis, I do use my Amazon platform to bring about more awareness of Lupus Nephritis. I travel to speak to other amazon employees and coalitions and teach them about lupus and the effects is has on one's health and overall functioning in the hopes of helping others and providing support.

My Interests:

I am always up for travel whether it be domestic and/or international. I love spending time in nature and chasing adventure. I have a long bucket list of places to visit! You can also often find me on the basketball courts shooting hoops. Being active and engaging in life are pursuits that keep me going. I'm motivated by helping others!

How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:

A transplant will allow me to live my life without the worry and stress of my diagnosis getting in the way of my hopes and dreams and the good work which I am pursuing. There is always that worry, that my health will fail me and as a 24-year-old, I want the normal, healthy life that I believe I can achieve through the kindness of someone else. I am hopeful and confident I can get there.
