Who Am I?
I am a Systems Engineer for a great company. I am caring, smart, and funny. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have two older brothers that I am close with and shared a lot of great memories over the years. I have an amazing family that has helped guide and support me over the years and for that I am extremely grateful. With the support of friends and family along with my own personal strength I have overcome a lot and still manage to stay positive and hopeful for the future.
For me, family has always come first. I’ve always tried to be there for my family, and anyone in my circle. I’ve found purpose in caring for others and in knowing that I can make a difference, no matter how big or small.
Recently, I’ve faced some personal health challenges, but I’m staying hopeful and strong. I know that the kindness and love I’ve shared over the years will come back to me, and I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from my loved ones and my community. Right now, I’m on a journey towards getting a kidney transplant, and I’m asking for help. If you can donate or share my story, I will be forever grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my journey. I believe in the power of people coming together, and I know that with your support, I will be able to continue giving love and care to those around me.
My Interests:
I enjoy various hobbies such as collecting trading/sports cards, playing video games, watching tv and movies, sports and my pets. I collect sports cards as well as trading cards, such a Pokémon, to work as well as attend card shows whenever I can. I enjoy playing games with my friends such as Dungeon and Dragons, Call of Duty, Pokémon, and many Nintendo series. I enjoy watching a variety of television and movies, ranging from reality TV to Game of Thrones, to Star Wars, and to animes such as One Piece. I enjoy playing and watching sports, especially anything involving a New England sports team. I love to be around and take care of the pets in my life. This includes my healthy one-eyed Tabby cat named Fury, as well as my brothers cat LB, and April a German Shepherd. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
My Diagnosis:
I have been diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Function in January 2024 and have been going to dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours each time. Since the age of 12, I struggled with type 1 diabetes as well as other health conditions. My diabetes has been difficult to manage over the years, and as a result I have been hospitalized multiple times to get it under control. Over time, these diabetic episodes have taken a toll on my body and permanently damaged my kidneys.
How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:
Getting a kidney transplant means a chance to experience normalcy. I will be able to spend more quality time with those around me because I won’t be on dialysis anymore. I won’t feel as tired and weak as it will allow me to be more productive in my day to day. I will have a better quality of life which will give me a chance to accomplish my dreams and goals, like having a family of my own where I can be an active husband/father someday. It will completely change my life in so many positive ways and give my family and friends peace of mind knowing that I can reach my full potential. I will have so many opportunities that I didn’t have before. I will have the chance to experience life the way many of you do.
