Who Am I?

I am Jamila Livingston, a 33-year-old outgoing Black woman from Prince George's County, MD fighting lupus nephritis. I am urgently looking for a kidney. 

My Interests:

I enjoy music, cooking, and video games. I love traveling nationally and internationally as well as spending time with my family and friends and trying new adventures. 

My Diagnosis:

Stage 4 Lupus Nephritis, End Stage Renal Disease.

How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:

Having a kidney transplant will allow me to gain my strength back and extend my life. I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in June 2022. Since then, I have dealt with hair loss, skin issues, weight gain/loss, acute heart failure, joint pain, and several other symptoms. I began dialysis in January 2024 and after a year, dialysis has become extremely hard on my body. A new kidney will turn my life back around so I can continue to reach my life goals.
