Who Am I?

My name is Rukhmin and I am 58 years young. Formerly, I worked as an accountant supervisor for a major Airline in the cargo dept. Not only did I love my work, but this position also allowed me to help people in my community with any shipping needs to family and friends overseas. Receiving products and goods from the US is always exciting for people overseas, and I loved being able to help out in this way. My staff was always so supportive, and we were a great team. When they found out I had to resign from my position due to my sickness, my staff was deeply saddened and expressed how much they would miss us working together. I am a devoted wife, and I am only here today because of the unconditional love my husband gives to me. I am the luckiest woman to have him.

My Interests:

My interests are traveling, specifically back home to see family and friends, but always excited about seeing new sights and experiencing different places. I love cooking and entertaining. Nothing is better than close family and friends gathered around a table to share a meal and lots of laughs.

My Diagnosis:

ESRD due to complications from Diabetes

How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:

A kidney transplant will affect my whole entire life by allowing me to disconnect from dialysis. I never dreamed that to live, I would have to be connected to a machine. A transplant would allow for my husband to become unburdened with the responsibility of caring for me, and the two of us could get back to life and enjoy work and leisure as a healthy couple. My husband is the most loving and kind individual you will find, and I want to be there to share life with him.
